The City of Richmond has selected SWTCH Energy, a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, as one of several firms to deploy and manage its next generation of networked EV charging stations across city-owned properties.<\/p>\n
This partnership marks a significant milestone in Richmond\u2019s efforts to expand equitable and reliable EV infrastructure for its residents, fleet operators, and visitors \u2014 ensuring long-term sustainability, flexibility, and innovation in alignment with the city\u2019s climate goals.<\/p>\n
“As part of the City of Richmond\u2019s commitment to the net zero strategies outlined in the RVAgreen Climate Equity Action Plan 2030, we look forward to implementing the solutions offered by SWTCH in order to advance vehicle electrification in a variety of use cases throughout Richmond\u201d said Dawn Oleksy, Energy Program Manager, City of Richmond.<\/p>\n
Under this new multi-award contract, SWTCH will provide EV chargers backed by its advanced software platform, SWTCH Cortex, which enables smart energy management, remote diagnostics, robust reporting, and a seamless driver experience. The system is designed to support both public and fleet users, with built-in scalability for future expansion.<\/p>\n
